What is Hyper realistic Pop Art? Is my own way of approaching the reality I create from a character, that makes an optic illusion of full realism on the distance, and a defragmentation from close.
Why do you think you are considered the mother of this artistic movement? This is a title that European critics gave to me when I won the 1st Place in the “Biennalle della Nacioni Venezia 2018”.
What is your favorite material and canvas to work in? Ink and wax, on wood.
How do you combine your Mexican roots with your Italian studies in your art? I have created a paralleled word where everything that moves me and make sense to me, has a place. Italy and Mexico share my heart.
What is your favorite art piece that you’ve created? Every piece is important to me, because each of them reflects a moment in the temporal context of the skin in which I live today.
What is your favorite artist and art piece from another artist? Picasso’s Guernica and Meninas, Bosco’s Garden of delights, the creation and David by Michelangelo, Van Gogh’s flowering almond tree, The Kiss in Bed, by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec.
