The state of Quintana Roo has been nominated for an impressive 220 awards from the venerated travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa made the announcement, praising the region for its high-quality services, gastronomy, natural beauty and air transportation. These nominations highlight Quintana Roo’s position as a leader in the world of luxury tourism, demonstrating the state’s commitment to providing exceptional experiences for visitors.

Every year, Condé Nast Traveler, a prestigious international magazine that specializes in luxury tourism and lifestyle, conducts its highly anticipated annual Reader’s Choice Awards. According to the CNTraveler website, Quintana Roo received a total of 220 nominations this year, with Cancun featuring in the categories of airports and cities, and Holbox, Cozumel and Isla Mujeres featuring in the Islands category.
There were three nominations for spa destinations, 39 nominations for hotels, 141 nominations for tourist centers, and 32 nominations for restaurants, bars and beach clubs. Playa del Carmen leads the list of hotels and resorts with 70 nominations, followed by Cancun with 48, Tulum with 27, Isla Mujeres with 12, Puerto Morelos with 10, Cozumel with nine, Chetumal with three and Holbox with three nominations.
