Another five-star resort development will soon call Los Cabos home. At the base of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains along a two-mile stretch of Baja sand will be the new Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos. “Los Cabos has long been a favorite destination for luxury travelers and is a natural fit for Four Seasons as we extend our presence in Mexico,” says J. Allen Smith, President and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. The new Los Cabos resort will join the Four Seasons Mexico roster with its Mexico City and Punta Mita properties, and will also be a part of an exclusive collection of Four Seasons resorts in exotic locations like the Maldives, Seychelles, Bora Bora, Koh Samui and Hawaii.
The property will include 145 rooms and a collection of private residences, and will be a part of the 1,000-acre private beachfront resort community of Costa Palmas on the eastern shore. The community will include a private marina and members-only beach and yacht club. The adjacent yachting marina will be connected to the resort and will feature up to 200 slips to accommodate yachts up to 250 feet. It will also feature its own ocean-side marina village that will have artisanal boutiques, dining options and locally-curated music and art.
Along with access to the appealing marina area, the resort will include multiple pools, event and wedding facilities, five unique dining options, a full-service spa, fitness facility and a Robert Trent Jones II signature 18-hole golf course. A low-density layout will characterize the sprawling resort that’s set for a 2018 opening. For guests looking to stay for good, a collection of whole-ownership oceanfront, marina-side and golf-side private residences, as well as an intimate collection of custom single-family beachfront private residence villas will also be available.
Jason Grosfeld, founder of Irongate, the real estate devlopment firm behind the Cabo project, says “We created Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos for families and groups of friends who appreciate a fresh and mindful approach to resort design and lifestyle. The resort is a place for those of all ages who seek both a spirited adventure and impeccable service.”
