Title: Yogi, Healer, Poet, Coach & Speaker
I’m currently working on…sharing my story through more Motivational speaking and my poetry. I am working on publishing a book of Poems – that are like journal diary entries that helped me process a challenging time or a lesson, and then has inspiration for others who can find a spark of inspiration in it. I am also working on continuing to host Online Meditation programs and in person Healing Retreats.
Always…stay in your heart, humble, present, accepting, surrender, in the flow, and in service. Always allow yourself to see the light in every situation and feel the gift of this life and present moment.
Never… say never, because tomorrow is unknown. Never allow the judgments or pressures of others/society to dictate your reality. Never let the desire to be seen, gain approval and recognition push you to do things that are not in alignment with your true self. Never feed the voice of your inner critic, learn to befriend it and let it know it is not welcome. Never close yourself off to unknown possibilities due to your comfort zone, self doubt or self sabotage. Never give from an empty cup and put others before you until you are drained and burnt out. Never manipulate others out of selfish desires, first ask yourself if it is a win win for you and the other in every situation? Never preach something that you haven’t practiced or experienced in your own life. Never hold grudges and resentments, because the anger you have towards another is the poison you drink yourself.

“Every cell in your body is eavesdropping on your internal dialogue” – Deepak Chopra

Biggest dream…to open global Healing Centers, and see a world where we are in unity and oneness.
My pet peeve(s)…people that don’t walk their talk
Favorite food….Persian tadigh and my vice is sweets
Favorite drink…rose lassi
I can’t leave my house with out…nothing, I love sometimes going for a walk with nothing on me, even without shoes grounding in the grass…may sound cliche, but we don’t “need” anything, we are so attached to our phone sometimes its good to “forget it” when we leave the house haha
My worst fear…is that I didn’t live up to my potential, highest service, and my dharma for humanity.
How did you start meditating? My parents introduced me to Siddha Yoga Meditation Center at the age of 5, where I was later blessed to meet the living Guru. My mom realized raising a child in an often “superficial” city such as Los Angeles, would need some grounding tools. Childrenare intrinsically so spiritual and I loved it.
What are your studies in Yoga? I began the practice of Kundalini Yoga (KY) by the age of 7, my parents would take me twice a week to classes (taught by GuruSingh) throughout my life, and in summers to Kundalini Yoga Camps (Summer Solstice in New Mexico and France), I gravitated and grasped onto the teachings so much that by the age of 13 I chose to commit to KY Teacher Training for 9 months, which led me to becoming the youngest certified KY Teacherin the US at the time. YOGA continued to be like my best friend, I went to a yogic KY Boarding School at age 15 in Northern regions of India, Amritsar. Continued to teach and share it during my time at George Washington University (for staff, students, Govt organizations and sport teams). Began adding more yogic studies and trainings such as: Hatha, Power Flow, Children, Vinyasa, Prenatal, and Restorative. A true teacher is always a student, I love continuing to expand my studies in Yoga as there is such a depth of wisdom.
How did InspireZu start? After college when I realized I can make a livelihood out of what I love, I chose to pursue teaching yoga & meditation full time. Wherever I would go people would mention how I inspired them, or they felt inspired by XYZ I may have unknowingly said/did. The word inspiration kept buzzing around me and had an A-HA moment to use Inspire and my name to create = Inspire ZU. The slogan, InspireZu, here to share what inspires ME & YOU was then formed.
Can you explain what Chakra healing means? Chakra Healing, consists of first becoming AWARE of the chakra system, and then aware of which of them within you are open or closed (in which I physically will show to the client in a session so they can see which are open/closed). The journey of healing the Chakras is simply about bringing them into balance and alignment. Healing stored memories, old habits and false limiting beliefs that are keeping these chakra/energy centers stuck. This process is multi faceted with a reading, using essential oils, sound healing instruments, breathwork, kundalini yoga, and reiki/healing on the body.
What is brain boosting? This has become one of my most popularized offerings because “boosting the brain” is something everyone can benefit from. It began from my desire to do more philanthropy where I found out about Alzheimers Research & Prevention Foundation (ARPF), at this time my Grandfather had Alzheimers and I realized the statistics were so high, especially for women. ARPF bridged my two passions together as they use Kundalini Yoga (a specific meditation) to scientifically demonstrate (via brain scans and research from leading Medical Schools globally), that one can reverse their memory loss (and many other benefits) from practicing it. I began giving lectures about it in Corporate settings, where employees and CEO’s are often feeling foggy or overwhelmed and wanted to sharpen their memory and concentration. Bridging the science behind spirituality made it more digestible and tangible for those who would not be inclined to trying meditation. I began teaching this for children (specifically kids with special needs or ADHD), as well as for senior citizens. Depending on the audience I format the workshop to be more lecture based (sharing the 4 pillars to Brain health and hacks), or more physical based (sharing unique and beneficial poses and kriyas for the brain).
What would you say to those who are skeptical from the disciplines you practice and teach? Everyone is free to have their own opinions and thoughts, I am not here to change your mind…but I invite you to at least try it once and let your experience be the telling of that not your mind or preconceived skeptical doubts. Ironically I met a conservative Pastor who was VERY skeptical about all of this, and after reminding him that energy doesn’t lie, he doesn’t have to take my word for it, he could be open minded to experience it and allow his own energetic experience be the telling factor…so he did, and the results was life changing for him, his family and his community. He quoted “I was 100% a doubter…but to say that class Arezu taught me was the beginning of one of the most spiritually significant weeks of my life, would be an understatement…Sure, I had my doubts when she wanted to see what state our chakras were in (something I did not believe in)…after that class all of my doubts had started to erode…it was clear to me that something amazing had transpired beyond what I could explain with my very clinical and Western world view…for the first time in my life I have learned to help my brain stop spinning at 100mph through the breathing exercise she’s taught me…Arezu not only changed my life for the better,
but she elongated it”.
