Already boasting a collection of resorts, the Mayakoba resort community will soon be adding yet another alluring hotel to the Riviera Maya region. Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya, set to open late 2016-early 2017, will be an upscale, chic hotel characterized by the beautiful surroundings of the Riviera Maya. Tranquil lagoons, lush vegetation and gorgeous views will be just a few of the amenities that guests can look forward to.
The resort will have 214 rooms and suites, each with a view of the lagoons, mangroves or Caribbean coastline. The rooms will have an open-layout with nature-inspired decor, walk-in rain showers and a sophisticated atmosphere. The dining options will offer a variety of original bars and restaurants, located near the pool, beach or lagoon. The hotel’s signature restaurant will be perched atop a bluff overlooking the clear lagoon and will serve up global cuisine, hand-crafted cocktails from top mixologists and small intimate rooms with terraces for a private and unique dining experience. A taqueria, cevicheria and a poolside restaurant with live music sets will also be available at the resort.
Golf enthusiasts will be tempted by the 18-hole El Camaleón Course, designed by Greg Norman and host to the final stop of the PGA tour’s yearly calendar, the OHL Classic at Mayakoba. For a more relaxing day, guests can lounge by one of the three outdoor pools or unwind at the full service spa, complete with six treatments rooms and two hydrotherapy rooms. Sunrise and sunset yoga, pilates, a beauty salon, gym, lap pool and fitness area round out the hotel’s activity offerings.
For those looking to explore the community, the hotel is conveniently located near the popular Fifth Avenue, the Mayan ruins of Tulum and Chichen Itza, an assortment of cenotes, El Pueblito, La Isla Shopping Village in Cancun, scuba diving in Cozumel and the highly-anticipated Ciudad Mayakoba, an upcoming and exciting attraction with shopping and dining.
